Its been a unbelievable couple years with Shadow!!! He is turning 14 years old on Sunday March 7th 2021 – He is over 4.5 years Cancer free!!! He is one amazing dog!!! He has three younger brother who keep him active. Since last writting we have added Cayne to our pack ( the white husky) He is only 3 years old , unfortunately we lost our Sasha girl last year, her and Shadow were best friends and grew up together. The one thing that has been nice about staying home this year is all the time we have spent with our crazy pack!!! They have enjoyed alot of snow this winter!! We have been so blessed to have Shadow this long and blessed for every minute more we get with him!!!

Happy Birthday Shadow!!

We love you!!!

Cancer Free 2 Years

Shadow got a great report from the doctor! Less than 25% of dogs with cancer live 2 years beyond surgery and chemo after osteosarcoma diagnosis. We are extremely blessed. Thanks to Nazareth vet for an early diagnosis and great treatment from Dr. Vickery and the staff at Valley Central.

One Year!!!

Shadow had his 1 Year check up!!! Yah Shadow …. Great News 1 year Cancer Free… ( and counting)

So while at vet. Waiting for Shadow to come out from his xray, a couple walked in with their husky mix, beautiful boy. Back leg limping while walking in. So course I love husky so I had to go over and speak to them. I asked what was wrong with his back leg. They told me that they were there today at the same moment we were to make a tough decision . They had found out that their dog has cancer in his back leg and was there to decide if they would be getting amputation done  just as they said that Shadow came hoping out! We and Shadow were meant to be their today at that moment. We talked for a few more minutes and when they got called back they asked if we could exchange contact information. They sent me a message today because of Shadow inspirational story they decided to get their dog’s leg amputated and get treatment. He came out of surgery fine and is doing great. I have invited them to this wonderful group☺

9 plus month Cancer Free

It has been along time since I updated. Not sure where the time has gone. Shadow is doing amazing!!!! 9 plus months cancer free. We did all 6 chemo treatment,  the oral meds, the 6 month check up and last month the 9 month check up. Eveything came back clear!!! Shadow enjoyed the snow this winter he played out it every time we got a storm with his brothers and sister ( dogs).  He is faster than the other dogs most days running in the yard. The only thing I find different that he is hungry all the time but doesn’t gain weight. So he gets extra food and treats!!!

1 week after Chemo

20160723_023459Shadow is almost 1 week after Chemo, he only got sick once and I think that because he ate his food to fast. ( time to get the slow feeder out again) He is spending most of his days relaxing and enjoying life. Tonight him and his brothers and sister enjoyed a little vanilla Ice Cream Treat and loved it!!! Tomorrow Shadow goes for blood work to see where is white count is but that is easy after all we been threw already. Hope everyone is having a good week!!!!
